Even as persons who strive to live a prayerful life many of us are still unworthy to be exemplified true Christians. We oftentimes forget the fact that we have always been virtuously imperfect since birth. That’s why, in our day to day struggle to live a righteous life we always end up frustrated with our own perceived failed efforts to be pleasing in the eyes of God.
Such frustration could get us discouraged and make us become perceptibly helpless from our own sinfulness. As a result, we tend to stop trying instead of continuously pursuing to seek God’s grace. But the truth is that this chain of events actually stem from of our lack of faith in God’s goodness.
Let us base our random human ability to show mercy and compare with that of God’s. In other words, if we can show mercy towards anybody how much more can God? Because He is the Creator He is understandably the source of everything that is good in us starting from our infant virtues. Therefore, If He is the source He has the abundance and flawless goodness in Him, and that includes His infinite mercy towards His most valued creation - us.
We will have a hard time receiving that grace unless we take the effort to heed his call and invitation. We cannot initiate action unless we truly believe that God is very much capable of that grand generosity. We need to overcome that obstacle of unbelief.
This realization should draw us closer to Him knowing that He is constantly inviting us all to come back to the fold of His loving arms. For us Catholics we are all called to answer to His call of repentance and reconciliation through the blessed sacraments solemnly carried out by the ministers of His church. It all starts from trusting in His infinite goodness as a whole.
Most of us are obsessed with so many things this world has to give, and thus, justify our lack of time for God. On my part, I am dedicating a portion of my time to talk about my faith and relationship with God. Because all of us, regardless of moral status are called to serve I imposed on myself to heed that call. Therefore, I am doing this as my own little way of serving - to share the ever challenging walk of faith and living.

When One Falls
Throughout our whole life, we always have fallen in terms of our spiritual life. Even though living in the grace of light has always been a desire there never was a time that we haven't fallen in the holes of darkness. Literally, there were always times that we sinned grievously, then doubted. It usually results from our weak and selfish human nature. As a consequence, we tend to lag behind in our pursuit of the spiritual grace. In other words, we stop attending church, we cease to pray and we pretend that we are alright. However, deep in our hearts we do feel remorse yet we tend to fight back because of our pride. At times our guilt would have us say "I'm too ashamed even to talk to God!". By this, we are assuming our own fate as sinners, that we no longer deserve to have a place before Him, that we have no hope and that we will, for the rest of our life, rot in hell being sinful. However, this attitude is not going to help us in any way, and that for being steadfast in these assumptions, we surely will rot in hell! To sum up, we make our pride rule our life and this pull us backward from God's grace. For sure, none of us wants to be in the eternal fire but forget the simple truth that we can actually escape that punishment. Well, we do know how to be spared from condemnation - that we just need to get up, feel sorry, take the sacraments and try hard not to commit the same sins again. Nonetheless, we still find it hard and lose patience with the cycle that repeats itself. We lose count and think that God's "seventy times seventy times" have but all ran out. We go on living a wretched life, unable to regain the grace that's supposed to be free, abundant and impartial. We fail to get up from the fall and choose to crawl. We refuse to lift our hands to God always eagerly waiting to pick us up. We choose to do so, because we lack one basic attitude - humility, which is one thing that God wants from us.
